Anne is an accomplished youth and All-Star cheerleading coach with twenty-five years of experience. During this time, she has consistently guided her teams to numerous national, state, and regional titles.
In 2010, she launched Spirit Zone Too, establishing a premier competitive All-Star program and training facility that serves athletes at all levels in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Her dedication to cheerleading extends to her volunteer work with the Norwalk Youth AYC, where she played a pivotal role in securing several championships, including the organization's first title and back-to-back national championships just two years later. In recognition of her exceptional commitment and impact, Anne received the prestigious "Wall of Honor" award from the Norwalk Athletic Association in 2014. Anne’s unwavering passion for cheerleading and her commitment to her athletes have driven Spirit Zone Too to national success over the past fourteen seasons. Under her leadership and dedicated coaching staff, numerous teams have claimed national championships at events such as JamFest, CHEERSPORT, Winner’s Choice, Athletic Championships, Spirit Fest, and NCA, ect. Her teams have consistently excelled at the US Finals, often finishing in first place, and they have reliably ranked among the top five in the country at the D2 Summit. Additionally, Anne had the honor of coaching Spirit Zone Too's inaugural tumbling Worlds team to the Worlds Stage. Many athletes who have trained under Anne have gone on to cheer at Division I and Division II colleges and universities, including Syracuse University, the University of Pittsburgh, Sacred Heart University, Boston University, Hofstra University, and the University of Rhode Island. As the owner of Spirit Zone Too, Anne expertly oversees all All-Star coaches, class instructors, and summer camps, ensuring a high standard of excellence. She is also CPR, First Aid, and USASF certified up to Level 6, reinforcing her commitment to providing a safe and enriching environment for all athletes. Anne lives in Norwalk with her husband, Stephen, who is Spirit's biggest fan. They have two daughters and two granddaughters. One of their granddaughters, Aubrey, is currently a cheerleader in the program, while the other, Aryanna, is 9 months old. The family eagerly awaits Aryanna's turn to cheer at Spirit Too. |
Samantha launched her athletic journey as a gymnast at seven and confidently transitioned to cheerleading at age 10. Her talent shone through during middle school, where she garnered numerous awards for her impressive jumps and tumbling skills. She made history as the first freshman to secure a spot on the Varsity cheer team at Shelton High School in Connecticut.
As a junior, Samantha joined Spirit All Stars in Hamden, igniting her passion for competitive cheerleading. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Health from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven while continuing to cheer with Spirit All Stars and coaching at Liberty All Stars in Greenwich, Connecticut. In 2006, while still in college, Samantha, alongside a friend, founded Excape All-Stars. Shortly after, she established Gold Coast All-Stars, leading her teams to impressive victories and significant achievements in the cheerleading world. As a proud mother of two beautiful girls, Mackenzie Rae and Maci, she balances her family life with her dedication to the sport. In the 2018-2019 season, Samantha triumphantly returned to competitive cheerleading, coaching the Tiny Treasures at Spirit Too. Since joining Spirit, she has consistently coached multiple teams to undefeated seasons, secured paid bids to the Summit, qualified her teams every year, and achieved top-10 placements at the Summit. |
Cori is a proud graduate of Norwalk High School, where she completed her studies in 2006, and she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 2011. Her cheerleading career is nothing short of remarkable. As a standout member of the SCSU cheerleading team, Cori and her teammates achieved a phenomenal victory at the 2009 UCA College Nationals, showcasing their extraordinary teamwork and talent.
Cori began her cheerleading journey at the age of 7 with Pop Warner and continued to excel in All-Star cheerleading at Spirit in Hamden until graduating from high school. With over 12 years of coaching experience across youth and All-Star levels, Cori is a transformative force at Spirit Too. Under her leadership, her teams have consistently claimed numerous national titles and secured prestigious bids to the Summit, a testament to her skill and commitment to advancing the sport of cheerleading. Cori lives in Norwalk with her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Avery. She passionately cultivates the next generation of cheerleaders, inspiring them with her confidence and dedication. |
Tammy is a mom of 2, has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and brings 27 years of cheerleading experience as an athlete, coach, choreographer, judge, and NCA instructor. She discovered competitive cheer at 8 years old and immediately fell in love. She has cheered at all levels ranging from youth league all the way through collegiate, including all-star. She has won numerous awards throughout the years including NCA All-American and Top Gun Jumper, as well as many team MVP awards. Tammy was also named Fairfield High School's first ever All-FCIAC cheerleader her freshman year and earned that title 2 more years until she moved to West Virginia. Tammy was also a member of the undefeated 2007-2008 Spirit All Stars Onyx coed open level 6 team. Tammy has gone on to win countless awards for her choreography including Cutting Edge, Wow Factor, Innovative Choreography, Best Dance and Best Choreography. She began coaching in 9th grade and with over 20 years of coaching experience has been able to build up quite a successful resume including numerous undefeated seasons in the all-star tiny, mini and youth divisions. In addition to winning numerous white jackets and US finals titles, in 2013 Tammy's junior level 1 team won the Overall US Finals title, making them number one in the country. Tammy has also taken numerous teams to both the D1 and D2 Summits for the past 6 years. In 2016 her J3 team won the wild card round and went on to place 7th in the country. In 2018 her S4 team also won the wildcard round and went on to place 3rd in the country. Tammy's psychology degree, extensive cheer experience, and intense love and passion for both the sport and kids, combine to create a special and unique training atmosphere. Her main goal is to make each and every athlete feel loved, inspired and a part of something special, all while pushing them to achieve their goals and become the best they can be on and off the mat.

Daqwan brings over 15 years of extensive experience in cheerleading, having started as a sophomore at White Plains High School. During his time there, he achieved remarkable success, winning multiple local, state, and regional championships and securing placements on a national stage. Since then, he has been a driving force, assisting numerous teams throughout Westchester County at both the high school and all-star levels. With over 11 years at Spirit Too, Daqwan shares his passion, expertise, and talent in every lesson, inspiring his students and elevating their skills to new heights.

Ricky "Tank" Carter has worked at a plethora of well-known gymnastics and tumbling gyms, where he has obtained the knowledge to teach and spot basic to elite-level skills. He is now the proud owner of his tumbling, stunting, and conditioning business. Ricky "Tank" Carter has a wealth of experience working at many prestigious gymnastics and tumbling gyms, where he honed his skills in teaching and spotting techniques for athletes at all levels, from beginner to elite. As the proud owner of Tank Time Athletix, his own tumbling, stunting, and conditioning business, Ricky has solidified his reputation as a world-class athlete. With a top 10 finish at the Cheerleading Worlds and being a UCA champion and finalist for the past three years, he knows what it takes to succeed. Over the past three years at Spirit, Ricky has effectively led clinics, open gyms, private lessons, and elite athlete training sessions. His extensive knowledge and passionate drive empower athletes to reach new heights in their tumbling skills. Tank Time Athletix. He is a world-renowned athlete who has received top 10 notoriety at the cheerleading worlds, and has been a UCA champion/finalist for the last 3 years. Ricky has been working with Tank Time out of Spirit for 3 years, doing clinics, opening a gym, private lessons, and training their elite athletes in tumbling classes. He brings knowledge of all levels of tumbling, excitement, and drive to get athletes to the next level.

Kaitlyn has been a part of the Spirit Too staff since 2021, but her time at the gym began when she was a young athlete. At eight years old she joined the Greenwich Youth Cheerleading League (GYCL) and quickly began to love the sport. She wanted to improve her skills so she cheered with Liberty All Stars for a few seasons. She is a three-year Greenwich High School Varsity alumni and was captain her senior year. Her cheer accomplishments include All-FCIAC and NCA All-American. Kaitlyn loved tumbling and practicing at Spirit while in High School and in 2013, she volunteered with Spirit’s Cheerabilities team, Alexandrites. Kaitlyn graduated in 2019 with a Masters in Architecture and currently works at a residential design firm in Southport, CT when not at Spirit! In her spare time, she enjoys taking work out classes at Pure Barre Stamford, going to the beach, and hanging out with her friends and family.
Kaitlyn has experience coaching Tiny Novice, Mini Prep, and Elite level 1. She coached Mini Prep for two seasons, taking home first place at US Finals with Glitter her first season. The past two seasons she helped take Elite level 1 Bling to the D2 Summit. This past season, Bling placed top three at all their regular season competitions, including three first place wins and her Tiny Novice team, Treasures, had an undefeated regular season! She loves seeing the joy on the athletes' faces when they learn a new skill and when the team knows they've hit zero on the competition floor at the end of their routine. She loves that Spirit is and always has been a second family, she is excited to continue her coaching career! |
Nicky has been a proud part of the Spirit Too staff since 2022. She first began her cheerleading journey at the age of 12, cheering at Scofield Middle School, and continued to cheer during her freshman year at Gold Coast All Stars in Stamford. Later, Nicky joined the gymnastics team at Westhill High School while attending the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering (AITE). After graduating high school in 2015, she went on to obtain her Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and currently wears several hats as she also works at a restaurant in Stamford, CT. After graduating from college and working in many different fields, she found herself back in the gym, now entering her fourth year of coaching all-star cheer.
Nicky has experience coaching elite level 1, as well as coaching tiny and mini tumble, and assisting with prep teams. For the past three seasons, she has coached junior elite level 1, achieving the incredible honor of securing bids each year to compete at the D2 Summit, as well as collecting numerous first-place titles. Just like many of the athletes who join Spirit, Nicky has a profound love for supporting cheer and finds that helping her athletes achieve their goals and seeing them come off the mat, incredibly proud of themselves each time, is what it’s all about. She is very excited about the upcoming seasons at Spirit! |
Ric-Chara (pronounced Rick-sha-ra) is an accomplished tumbling and stunt expert with over 11 years of experience as a coaching consultant in the cheerleading industry. A former cheerleader for Cheer Extreme Senior Elite, Ric-Chara has earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals at The Cheerleading Worlds Championship, marking her as one of the sport’s top competitors. After cheering for her university, she pursued her passion for anthropology, further enhancing her understanding of human movement and performance.
Since relocating to New York in 2014, Ric-Chara has successfully transitioned into the world of film production, working on commercials and leveraging her leadership skills to cultivate positive, successful work environments. Her unique combination of athletic expertise, coaching insight, and production experience allows her to bring a creative, driven approach to any project. Whether on the mat or behind the scenes, Ric-Chara continues to inspire and lead with passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. We are so excited to introduce Ric-Chara into the Spirit Too family. Her coaching style is grounded in positive reinforcement and educating the body to achieve skills efficiently and safely. Ric-Chara’s motto is to “Replace fear with faith and secure it all with self-love,” which she instills in her students to help them reach their full potential. |
Lauren began her cheerleading journey at the age of 7 in Dublin, Ohio, cheering for the Dublin Football League program. By the age of 11, she advanced to all-star cheerleading, joining Step One Allstars in Columbus, Ohio. Competing on elite junior and senior level 5 teams, Lauren spent the majority of her cheerleading career honing her skills and achieving significant milestones. Between 2006 and 2009, she competed at The Cheerleading Worlds, consistently earning top 10 placements in her division—a testament to her dedication and talent.
After her cheerleading career, Lauren pursued higher education at Columbus State Community College, where she earned a degree in Paralegal Studies. Born and raised in Ohio (a proud Buckeyes fan!), Lauren embraced new chapters in life, moving to Clearwater, Florida, in 2014, where she lived for six years before relocating to Stamford, Connecticut, in 2020 with her husband and daughter. Lauren’s passion for cheerleading was reignited when her daughter decided to take up the sport. She is now a proud cheer mom, cheering on her daughter, who is an athlete with Spirit Zone Too Divas. Thrilled to have found a supportive cheer family in Connecticut, Lauren is excited to embrace her new home and community while fostering her daughter’s love for the sport that once defined her own youth. |
Rosalie Frison has over 15 years of experience in education and coaching. She recently earned an MSEd in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education. She also holds a B.A. in Government and Politics with a minor in Sociology from St. John’s University, an M.A. in International Affairs from The New School, and an M.A. in Religious Studies from St. Joseph’s Seminary, where she was awarded the title of Director of Religious Education.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) teacher, Rosalie is certified in both Geography and Theory of Knowledge. She is also a certified cheerleading coach through the U.S. All Star Federation and the National Federation of State High School Associations. She has been coaching with Spirit Zone Too since 2022. Rosalie lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, their two children, and their dog. |

Kristin began cheerleading at the age of 8 in Medford Pop Warner where she attended Nationals several times and coached in the program when she got older. When East Elite (now East Celebrity Elite) made its debut in 1998, Kristin was on the first team and continued on in the program through college. In addition to cheering at ECE, Kristin also coached several teams at the gym ranging from Mini level to Senior level and was a tumbling instructor. She cheered all 4 years in high school on Varsity, winning two national titles and earned NCA All American all 4 years at summer camp. She was captain her senior year on both her high school team and at ECE. Kristin attended UMASS Amherst and cheered at the college level on the All Girl team. Kristin continued her education at UMASS, receiving her Master’s Degree in Education. She was a teacher of over 15 years when she decided to take time off to be a stay-at-home mom to her two young children. She is excited to be back in the cheer world as a tumbling instructor here at Spirit Too.

Miranda began her cheerleading career at age 7 for the Harrison Youth Recreation team. By age 8, she made the switch to All Star cheer joining Liberty All Stars and her love for the sport only grew from there. She continued to compete at the All Star level though elementary and middle school at Gold Coast All Stars, where she cheered alongside Coach Sydney, and was coached by both Coach Sam and Coach Tammy. She then went on to cheer for the Greenwich High School cheerleading team at the Varsity level. Throughout college, Miranda hosted many town recreation cheerleading clinics for elementary schoolers in the Purchase, Harrison and Rye Brook area. Miranda has a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Southern Connecticut State University, and currently is working on obtaining her Masters Degree from Manhattanville College in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy. More recently, Miranda has rekindled her love for the sport through watching her two younger sisters take the mat each weekend with Spirit Zone. Miranda loves the strong sense of family present with the gym at Spirit and is beyond excited to share her love for the sport with young athletes!

At the age of 5, Giovanna attended gymnastics classes at ISG, where she discovered that she loved to tumble. When she turned 7 years old, she began her cheerleading career at Spirit Zone Too. In total she spent 11 years at Spirit, beginning with a tinies team and completed the journey on a level 6 team, accumulating several medals and awards with the teams. While cheering for Spirit Zone Too, Giovanna was also a cheerleader with Port Chester High School, three of the years on Varsity. She is currently a full time student at Sacred Heart University, School of Nursing, pursuing a BSN. In 2022, Giovanna joined Sacred Heart University's Division 1 cheerleading team and in 2023 they went on to win a UCA National Championship in the Open All Girl Game Day Division. In her free time, Giovanna has assisted coaching tiny and youth teams. She is excited for her next cheerleading journey as a coach, and being a part of Spirit Zone Too staff, where she can share her experience and passion for cheerleading with the students.

Rachel grew up in Stamford, CT and was a cheerleader for 13 years. She started cheering when she was in fifth grade at Excape, then cheered two years overseas in Sweden at a gym called Dynamite, and then cheered for 5 years at Gold Coast All stars, where she also helped coach some of the teams. Additionally, she cheered for Trinity catholic high school her junior and senior year, where she received FCIAC scholar athlete of the month, and helped coach various middle schools across Stamford while she was in high school. When she went to college in South Carolina, she had the opportunity to cheer and coach at Rockstar - Columbia four 4 years and World Cup - Columbia for one year. She has cheered and helped to coach and every level of cheer and is very excited to join the program and looks forward to the future season!

Coach Diaz brings over a decade of cheerleading experience to Spirit Zone Too. Her passion for the sport began in middle school, continued through high school, and led her to cheer collegiately at St. John’s University. Throughout her career, she has competed at the NHSCC and UCA College Nationals.
For the past five years, Coach Diaz has been a dedicated educator in New York City, holding a Master’s degree in Secondary Special Education and currently completing a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Alongside her work in the classroom, she has spent the last three years coaching middle school cheerleading and serves as a certified PSAL STUNT official. Coach Diaz has also been actively involved in cheer clinics and camps for children, where she has helped young athletes develop techniques and build their confidence, while fostering a love for teamwork and performance. She is thrilled to join the all-star cheer community at Spirit Zone Too and looks forward to sharing her energy and love for the sport with athletes and families. Coach Diaz believes that with heart, spirit, and hustle, anything is possible! |
Adriana began her cheerleading journey at the age of 5 and quickly rose through the ranks as a standout athlete. Throughout her youth, she was part of multiple state and league championship-winning teams. In high school, Adriana earned prestigious honors including All-American, All-League, and All-State recognition. She continued her cheer career at the collegiate level and with the competitive cheer program at Spirit All Stars in Hamden, CT. She attended Sacred Heart University and received her Bachelors Degree in Radiologic sciences and Healthcare Management. With six years of experience coaching at the high school level, Adriana has led teams to multiple league and state championships. She is a mother to two beautiful kids. She is returning to the cheerleading world with her daughter Kennedy joining Spirit Zone for the 2025-2026 season. Her passion and experience make her a dedicated leader and mentor in the world of cheerleading. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of cheerleaders with the same dedication, discipline, and love for the sport that shaped her own journey.

Coach Courie Bailey has over 20 years of experience teaching tumbling to children aged 3 and above. For 15 years, he co-owned East Celebrity Elite Manchester, also known as Phoenix All Stars, coaching teams from level 1 to level 7. His most recent victory came at the All-Star Worlds Championships 2025 with his GOLD CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING extra small senior level 4.2 team Fuego!

Amanda brings a lifelong passion for cheerleading and over a decade of coaching experience back to Spirit Too. Her cheer journey began in middle school and quickly grew into a deep commitment, cheering through high school and finding all star cheer at the age of 15.
With 10 years of experience coaching at Spirit Too, Amanda is known for her dedication to skill development and building confident athletes both on and off the mat. After taking a break from coaching to focus on her family and raise her three young daughters, she’s excited to return to the sport that shaped so much of her life. Amanda holds a Master’s in Education, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst (NY). Now back and more inspired than ever, Amanda is passionate about sharing her knowledge, experience, and love for cheerleading with the next generation. Her goal is to help every athlete grow not only as a cheerleader, but as a strong, driven individual. |

Backed by two years of college and hands-on experience in special education, I specialize in supporting children of all abilities, helping them grow both emotionally and physically through structured guidance and genuine encouragement.
I believe in finding the perfect mix of structure and fun—firm when needed, but always compassionate and uplifting. My daughter’s involvement inspired my coaching journey in cheer, a sport I’ve come to love and sincerely appreciate for its ability to build confidence, teamwork, and joy. You may have also seen me in Anne’s (the boss lady's) office, helping her with clerical work.
